CNC machines are changing the way that products and inventions are made. Let’s say you want to make a mini sail boat. In the past, you would have had to carve it out of wood or foam with your own hands. It is now possible to make a design in  a computer and program a machine to carve it out for you! Want to learn how to make your own CNC machine?

The Sphere-O-Bot design was to allow kids to build their own and learn the basics of CNC machines. This machine actually uses many of the components that can be found in other CNC machines like 3D printers. Use this machine to draw designs on small spherical objects like these:
